In fact, any microbe suspension is what you want. For the green water (suspended algae), all you have to do is put some nitrate-rich water (water water changes are a good source) in a container near a window - the light and nitrate allow algae to grow out of control, and use an eyedropper, you can easily squirt some green water rights in the stream of your tank where the shrimp will find it. Crushed flake food can also be surprisingly effective.
