My blk lab has a lump under the ear along the jaw line - seems to come and go. What is it?
Please, do not just say take her to the vet because she is a complete psycho, and that's something I, and your vet! want to avoid. It seems to be a swollen gland - Its not in the ear or ear flap. Its about 1 inch by inch and seems to change size along a couple of days. No odors, without apparent pain. Ideas?
The lymph nodes is only one side or bilateral? If it is on one side and you have no solid reason for that, you need to see a vet. If it is steady as a lymphoma that needs to see a vet. Bilateral, would be more like an infection. Even if just one aspect that could be a tooth or infection ear, etc., but is more dangerous only in one side than bilaterally. ------------------------------- ---- I have a chihuahua with large lymph nodes bilaterally. I worry about them much more than the vet does. Some dogs are bigger than others, but must be equal on each side.
