The Lawn Mower Blades are an integral part of the lawn mower and must be maintained and sharpened regularly. Without these blades the device is redundant. The Lawn Mower Blades are the most vital part of a lawn mower design and they are made in a variety of designs depending upon the kind of lawn mower that has them installed.

Starting from the first designs to the modern lawn mowers, the most innovative of all Lawn Mower Blades in their utility and design is the Roller Blade which is a cylindrical structure. This blade design has each blade in the shape of a helix and a number of them form the cylindrical structure. This cylinder is attached to the wheels such that it turns independently and with the faster movement of the wheels the blade cylinder gains momentum and turns faster. It is designed to be heavy and hence when it turns faster it slices through the grass trimming it properly. This kind of roller blade is also installed on ride on lawn mowers and tractor mowers as well where the blade is in the rear. The cylindrical roller blade design had seen changes in the initial days and now- a- days, such a design is more or less the same without any huge variance in the original design. Of course there is a remarkable difference ye the design is based on the same pattern.

Then of course in the newer modern lawn mowers, the Lawn Mower Blades are a different design altogether where they are attached to the base of the mower in form of a fan and these blades spin fast over the grass and trimming them. Even though these blades cut through grass they wear soon and it is important that they be sharpened frequently to avoid permanent damage to them.
