Can a skateboard helmet helmet protection to be replaced in construction?
The helmets are very uncomfortable, and fall ALL the time. Need something sturdy and comfortable. so I decided to try maybe a skate helmet protection. Does this still provide sufficient protection to build? After all, it is difficult for falls, and padded ... any input is greatly appreciated!
In theory, yes, a skate helmet must provide a adequate protection, except perhaps penetration. In practice, no. Skate helmets have not been tested against the risks of construction and are not approved by OSHA. The use that can get you and your employer into trouble. There is a good thing, an ANSI II hard hat has a line similar to skateboarding helmet EPS
