leading u to skate, and what they have accomplished or in this sport?
Side note: I enjoyed reading all the stories here! Growth I "liked" to see skating on TV. . . but I never realized that they actually do. I loved skating on my own (without formal training). . . And that was my world. I invented "swizzle" - HA! Anyway, I never connected the roller skating ice skating. . . Although my cousin was a skater - Can you believe that? Later in life (after "beat" roller skating), I discovered the dance. I played music since age 4, but never really enjoyed it. I learned that it was better (and loved) the interpretation of music through body movements. I could dance forever but again, no formal training. Even later in life, my friend said "let's go ice skating." So we did. The event has been fired from long roller skating my aspirations and I was ready to buy my own figure skates at night. I had my own pair at the end of the week! I was hooked to that I began to skate 2-3 times a week (came quite easily for me) and later every day. Skating on "regular" I raised view so that eventually became my companions. . . noted how quickly I learned things from them. So with his encouragement, I started taking group lessons. My skating was removed from there. Fast-forward, went through my second private coach who really found myself in skating. I am so grateful as she acknowledges, and brought together my love for skating and dancing. I skated in many "shows and competitions - including those from adults. I got in the last competition regional USFSA that adults were allowed to skate in - that was one of my best moments. And I'm proud to say I have won all solo events I have entered the competition Showcase. I was known as an ice dancer (I never thought to happen in my wildest dreams). . . It was a magical moment (and for my age, I'm sure never complain!). ice skating has taught me many lessons. And in the end, it was not just skating for me. . . it was the people. I met some amazing people / friends - and had the privilege of sharing the ice and meet a few famous skaters (oh the stories I realized). I had many friends of all ages, levels and spheres of life. . . that deviates from the sporting community was an achievement in itself clean. I am humbled by those who helped me in the beginning - I will never forget my skating roots. I enjoyed teaching others and not - as his coach - but trying to figure out how to get them to do movements that were trapped on. Although I am not currently skating, I hope to help others with their skating - and for that I am "here." Bumblebee Thanks:) for letting me share my story! Did you know anyone fall asleep? Hee hee.
