OH pilot testing and the proper way to conduct the reverse - two hands on the wheel or a wheel chair?

I have received about ten hours of practice driving in parking lots and on the road and have recently begun the practice of maneuverability test which takes the place of the usual test of parking in parallel. (Page 5: http://www.bmv.ohio.gov/pdf_forms/HSY-7607.pdf) Most of my friends recommend placing the license on the right hand seat the passenger to get a better view through the rear window while driving in reverse. I also recommend keeping your left hand at 12 o'clock on the wheel easily straighten it without looking (just move your hand to the top of straightening). However, a woman I know told me he did not pass the maneuverability test because it pushed this way and not "unit with both hands on the wheel for full control" for the instructions on the link above. I would appreciate it if someone (especially the pilot examiners) could give me information on the proper way to govern through these maneuvers. Thanks, Grumpy

If you were a backup in an alley, or even half an apple, it would probably be safer to turn around with his hand on the back to keep the balance. If you are backing into a corner, put your hand behind the seat and turn to look back. Since the maneuverability test is similar to parallel parking, shoulder check before backing up, then use the mirrors and keep both hands on the wheel. Http: / / parksidedriving.com/8_driving.htm
