this sounds like a saltisidae (jump spider)probably a Phidippus audax
(bold jump spider)
these are completely harmless, and reluctant to bite.
they are easy to handle, so if you don't want it inside,
you can just coax it to jump onto your hand and take it outside.
(squeezing it may make it bite.)
I usually get a photo or 2 before I turn them loose.
