What are the needs to playing roller hockey?
Hi i am starting roller hockey i was wondering what are the basic skill requirements to play. Like skating requirements etc thanks I can basic skate forward stop but i have trouble skating backwards and tips on how?
Definately improve on your skating before trying to play roller hockey.
Even professionals started somewhere but it's for your own benefit. Skating backwards you could use the same stride as when going forwards, but when you're able to do so with crossovers you will be much more adept at it (and faster) will also make it easier when you stop while backwards; when turning, pivoting etc.
There should be videos on youtube worth your time .. or if possible, enroll in a class.
