What are the best ABEC bearings for Aggressive Inline Skating?
Basically, I'm getting Razor Icon 2's for my birthday and I was wondering what was the best type of bearings to get with the skates. I'm going to be on ramps all the time in case that helps. Thankyou!
ABEC rating for skating is very misleading as this is a rating for industrial bearing spinning at speeds and temperatures way above what we ever hit skating. I have seen great and poor bearings that had same ABEC numbers.
However generally speaking a higher ABEC number should perform better. Bones bearings don't have this stupid rating and are great bearings. There are different ones, all good for your skating.
For me, a high speed nut, I use Bones Super Swiss 6 ball, but I'm hitting speeds up to 35mph.
