vectra 2.0dti, problem starting when left over night?
have problems starting my 2.0dti(X20DTH) in morning, i have put a one way non return valve inline before fuel filter to help, but this morning being 3.0c * it started first turn as i put the valve on yesterday then died shortly after, there was no glow plug light on which i was suprised as it was so cold this being the 4th diesel vectra i have owned and they normally come on at 4.5-5.0c.but this is the first DTi the others were Di, does this problem sound like a air ingress? I have changed the fuel filter, oil filter engine flush and semi synthetic 10w40 oil in 3 days ago, some mornings its starts fine then sounds like it on 2 cylinders for a while say 30seconds or so then fine for rest of day.....?i have a diagnostic fault code reader and there is no codes showing...
no smoke its not a smoker runs well
been told change fuel filter housing? bleed system using external pump for aprrox 5 mins? change filter housing to a metal lid type with primer button like the one on mondeo td?
this is a very common problem.. a leaky injectors.... blowing black smoke during acceleration are you?? gassing everyone behind you are you???? the injectors leak while sitting overnight creating air pockets i call it. replace injectors i would say. good luck.
